If we truly seek to imitate Christ corporately and individually, not only we will be drawn to our Saviour, but we will be drawn to each other to nurture, support, and love each other into the Kingdom of God.

As a church, we must do more; we must be increasingly vigilant in protecting the hearts, minds, bodies, and souls of God’s children. It means being alert, interested, and proactive in combating abuse in all its forms within our communities.

All of us are responsible for doing what God desires, and we are accountable to Him for the life that we are living now. We recognise the source and the ultimate goal of life, believing that we are God’s stewards commanded to care for the people in our lives.

Even though the Protestant world would want to look back and hail the reformers for their courage and tenacity in confronting the abysmal way Christianity functioned in that era, we are still faced with an incessant call for a reformation in the way we do church today.

We cannot ignore the issue of depression within our congregations in the South England Conference. One may ask, could faith be a hindrance to our appreciation of the condition? How do we relate to people who are coping with depression?
